ABOUT
Located in Norton, Virginia, the John I Burton High School Band is under the direction of Mrs. Cassandra Butler. Mrs. Butler is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and is beginning her third year in the Norton City School System.
The John I Burton Band has a long tradition of excellence under the direction of Mr. William "Bud" Stewart. The band has ranked high among local bands and consistently received superior ratings at area contests and festivals, including winning the McChesney Cup in 2011 and Reserve Grand Champion at Lonesome Pine Band Festival in 2013.
